Meridian Boutique opened its doors nearly 30 years ago on Main Street and has become a beloved destination for high-end fashion geared toward the Montana woman. This summer, Meridian is expanding — into menswear. Meridian Men officially opened on July 17th and is located at 107 E. Main St., (just a few doors down from Meridian Boutique) in Downtown Bozeman, MT.

With Meridian Men, we’re putting our sartorial expertise to use and relationships with cult-favorite brands to bring Bozeman a meticulously curated selection of brands geared toward the modern man. Featuring hand-selected collections for everyday essentials, statement pieces, and suiting inspired by a Montana state of mind. We provide timeless style and quality pieces for every moment of his day and life.

Meridian Men is unique for a number of reasons. Our stellar staff provides a personalized experience to all clients (both men as well as women who love the men in their lives). We offer personal styling services. Our personal stylist, Annie, has decades of experience working with style icons, including dressing clients for the Met Gala, GQ, and Vogue. Meridian Men also offers event suiting and on-site tailoring in our revitalized historic downtown location.

Meridian's owners, Haley and Josh, are partners in work and life and have wanted to open a men's boutique for years. They believe that every man should look and feel his best. Understandably, Josh can't wait for access to the goods.

About You

As a sales associate, you are excited to inspire, engage, and captivate clients through your professionalism, warmth, and knowledge. A burgeoning expert in all things fashion, you’re up-to-date on the latest trends and have a thorough understanding of Meridian Men brands. Your expertise and keen visual eye mean you’re well equipped to help clients find the right pair of tailored denim, the perfect men's plaid shirt for their regular rotation, or make a trend accessible for their everyday life. Seeing a client’s face light up when they find the perfect piece lights you up too, and you’re excited to help clients feel confident, comfortable, and stylish.

Friends describe you as a “people person” who is responsible, fun, and flexible – you’re that organized friend who is on time for everything and makes restaurant reservations but is also happy to go with the flow. At work, you’re meticulously organized regarding things like receiving inventory and processing transactions, but you can also happily roll with the punches of a lively retail environment.

About the Role

The sales associate handles the store's day-to-day responsibilities, including customer service, sales, basic store maintenance, inventory, and merchandising. In this multifaceted role, you’ll spend most of your time on the sales floor, focusing on meeting or surpassing monthly sales goals and providing exemplary customer service to clients.

When you’re not on the sales floor, you’ll be processing shipments and inventory, completing necessary paperwork and reports, accurately ringing up transactions, providing courteous and professional customer service over the phone, maintaining the store’s cleanliness and organization, and creating compelling visual merchandising displays on mannequins and store windows. You’ll also be expected to stay up-to-date on vendors, current trends, and merchandise (specifically regarding fit and styling).

Qualifications and Experience

The details/points listed below are required as a Sales Associate:

• Prior experience working in retail sales or hospitality
• Elevated retail sales experience is preferred
• High school diploma or GED, B.A., B.S. preferred
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Be open-minded, unentitled, and maintain realistic expectations
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, trustworthy, and confidential
• Ability to adapt/pivot to frequent shifts in direction
• Good sense of humor and cheerful attitude
• Awareness of fashion brands
• Strong fashion sense and personal style
• Ability to spend multiple hours on the sales floor
• Availability to work extended hours
• Attend training as scheduled or if deemed necessary to become a stellar style consultant
• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, team members, and management with the ability to be comfortable with constant feedback
